Body Oil Sprays

Body oils in the form of sprays are excellent non-greasy alternatives to traditional natural body oils and lotions. They generally aren’t as moisturizing, but they are of a lighter consistency and have a faster absorption rate into the skin. They tend not to be as heavy or sticky and don’t leave an oily residue on your clothes, so they are great if you are in a hurry. A good alternative body treatment for summer, as they are lightly fragranced, and leave a light mist on the skin, a perfect ingredient for your natural beauty regime for that all over summer glow. The following oils are what you may expect to find in a body oil spray, they should be completely natural and plant or seed based, these oils are healthy and nourishing and help to keep the skin soft and hydrated whilst protecting your skins own natural moisture balance.

Apricot Kernel Oil: An excellent carrier oil, it is easily absorbed into the skin without being too oily. It is packed full of essential vitamins such as A and E, these vitamin serve as an anti oxidant, killing off the free radicals, which can cause long-term damage.

Grape seed: Extremely fine and pure oil, so light it absorbs immediately into the skin, and leaving a satiny non-sticky coating on the surface of the skin, a perfect ingredient for a body oil spritz.

Jojoba: A nourishing and popular inclusion added to many body oil moisturizers, as it is lightweight and packed full of essential fatty acids. This oil has a very high absorption rate into the skin, due to the fact that it closely resembles the skins own sebum, making it a very good inclusion for oily skin types.

Macadamia: The acids in this oil are natural components of the skins sebum. It has a rich nutty aroma and consistency, and its emollient qualities make it a good all round moisturizer, it is particularly good for dry and mature skin.

Safflower Oil: Contains high levels of mono saturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are good for healthy skin, it can properly moisturize and nourish the skin, without leaving an oily residue or feeling to heavy.
