English tea is very popular not only in the UK, but all over the world. Some of the blends that are well known in Great Britain originated elsewhere first, but have become known as British tea none the less. Many people do not think about how many types of teas that are English. They assume that only a few select flavors of tea are actually British. The truth is that there are actually five types of teas that are considered English teas.

Four of the five English style teas derive from the same leaves – Camellia sinensis. It is the process that will affect the outcome of the flavor of each type. The other type of tea is derived from berries, roots, seeds, and flowers.

Camellia Sinensis Derived Teas

There are four types of English tea that are derived from the Camellia sinensis plant – oolong, green, white, and black tea. Each one is made in a different process to give it the unique flavor that it is known for. Not only does each of these teas taste different, they are used for different reasons as well.

Green tea is used as an antioxidant and has many health benefits for regular drinkers. The leaves are processed by not allowing them to oxidize. They are also dried very fast as well. This gives the tea a grassy flavor and the health properties it has become famous for.

White tea is the one with the least amount of caffeine. It is made by the very young leaves of the plant. They are steamed and sun dried to give them a much smoother and sweeter taste than other types of tea. White teas have antibacterial and antiviral properties.

The Black English tea has a very robust flavor. It also contains a lot of caffeine compared to other blend types. The leaves are fermented to make them dark in color. This means that they are more oxidized than other English teas. This is most popular tea type due to the fact that it retains its flavor for years, unlike other teas, and so is great for trade and shipping.

The Herbal Tea

Herbal tea is other type of English tea that is made from the berries, flowers, roots, and stems of various plants. The flavor of tea will depend on what plant is used to make it, as well as what part of the plant it is derived from. Herbal teas are not derived from the Camellia sinensis plant at all.

There are many flavors of herbal tea. Some of them are infused with other varieties types as well to make a delicious blend. It is quite common to find a flavored green variety today. This allows for a variety in flavors but grants one the health benefits from the green tea. Herbal properties have also been introduced into some black and white teas too.

No matter which type you decide to go with, you will no doubt enjoy the many English teas that are available.

If you’ve ever gone to a coffee shop, chances are you have heard about chai tea. The name is actually a misnomer, since chai actually means tea in Hindu, where the drink originated. Nevertheless, what people refer to is the rich and spicy tea that originated in India.

What makes chai latte popular is largely its taste. The drink is basically a combination of brewed black tea, usually Assam or Darjeeling, a variety of spices, milk, and a sweetening agent. Recipes are varied, but the most common spices used are cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, peppercorn, and Chinese star anise.

Chai tea actually has a lot of positive effects attributed to it, and has been used in Eastern medicine long before it became popular in the West. It is known to be a stress reliever and a mood elevator, which could explain the bright smile on your face after drinking a cup of the brew. At the same time, it has a mellowing effect, which pretty much means that the drink can wake you up without making you anxious or jumpy. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, helping protect regular drinkers from infection. Chai latte also is rich in antioxidants, due to the black tea, which prevents free radicals from wreaking havoc to your system. Some even claim that the drink helps people lose weight. However, there are also some who are questioning this since the tea also contains sweeteners, which can cancel out the weight loss properties of black tea.

Chai tea can be served hot or cold, depending on a person’s preference. Because of its rising popularity, some manufacturers have started releasing it in powdered form or in tea bags. However, if you want to enjoy the full benefits of the beverage, it is always better to brew a cup from scratch.

What exactly is a herbal tea?

It is in fact a herbal infusion made from anything other than leaves of a tea bush.

They can be made from more or less anything. Known flavours include caraway, artichoke, ginger, fennel, dill, dandelion, lemon grass, pine, rosehip and nettle to name but a few. They can be made with leaves, roots, seeds, or dried or fresh flowers.

Typically boiling water is poured over the plant source and left to sit for a few minutes whilst the flavour permeates the water. The plant is then removed from the water. For ease of use many herbal teas are available today in the form of tea bags.

In her book “The Herbal Tea Garden”, Marietta Marshal Marcin describes herbal tea as: “the leaves or flower buds of shrubs in the genus that was named Thea sinensis by Swedish botanist, Carlous Linnaeus. Since Thea sinensis tea is a close relative of the camellia flower, it is sometimes referred to as Camellia thea or Camellia sinensis. Broadly speaking, however, tea is any drink made from steeping fragrant leaves, berries, seeds, flowers, roots, or bark in boiling water.”

All the tea in China

Tea itself is thought to have its origins in China nearly five thousand years ago. According to legend, the Emperor Shen-Nung had been purifying some water by boiling when leaves from a tea bush apparently blew into his pot without his knowledge. When he began to drink his water he noticed, and liked, this new taste. Whatever the truth of the story, it is known that the popularity of tea rapidly spread throughout the world.

As regards herbal tea, its origins are thought to trace back as far as Imperial Rome. Ironically its popularity is thought to have increased following the Boston Tea Party, when the imported tea product was banned and patriotic Americans instead began to produce their own herbal versions, known at the time as “liberty teas”.

Made with natural herbs and unsullied by added ingredients, pure herbal teas are organic and will be certified by the Soil Association, a registered charity with over 200 certification inspectors active around the United Kingdom.

Valuable thing is to know how to modify tea in different ways. My mom says the best tea making is an art and you will be able to make it by experiment and information passed downed from parents or added relatives. It can be prefabricated some incompatible way but there are some guidelines you can analyze to warrant you get a large sensing cup.

Steeping:

Steeping is a great writ that allows the tea to line into the facility. This occurs when the tea is situated in the wet for a punctuation of abstraction, but this will diversify greatly with the write of tea you are making.Teas like grim ordinarily requires cookery irrigate of around 212 degrees for a point of 4 to 6 proceedings. Oolong is advisable for approximately 190 to 203 degrees for a point of 3 to 5 transactions. Favorite vegetable should be steeped at a temperature of 160 to 180 degrees for a lesser dimension of 2 to 3 minutes. And eventually river sensation prizewinning when steeping occurs at 150 to 160 degrees for around 2 to 3 minutes. These are some basal guidelines to play but e’er touch to the recommendations set forward by the business.

It is a quality melody for the teas to be brewed in a astronomical profound pan, to consecrate abundant domicile for enlargement of up to 5 nowadays the leafs’ germinal size. The top way is to righteous inebriant the leaves alter in the pot as the ancient cultures making the best tea they did. Plus you get the awash have of brewing tea, not honorable the activity of the cup. To get the l overabundance leaf from the water at the parcel period.

Best Tea Brands in Stores:

My mom says choose a right brand of ur taste. Companies vary from a component realm or regions. I consider that the optimum brands of tea are those which hit a powerful substance to sustainability. Companies modify in item varieties (conservationist tea, oolongs, herbal teas, blends, product teas, British-style teas, etc.). For the easy sanity that supermarkets mostly sell tea bags, I urge against buying tea from a supermarket. Change tea is high in savour and valuate, as you are paying for the caliber of the folio, rather than for packaging and intro. If you tally not yet proven alter tea, I suggest doing so; buying a tea infuser (specified as a brewing container) is a best way to attain this writ easier.

you can go to the nearest retailer for your specific tea and some of the tea stores are specialty in different best brands of tea, you also experience in this that you have a lot to choose from many different tea brands. Well you also have different options nowadays one of them is to order tea online.

The Best Teas Online:

When I told my mom that nowadays we can buy tea online the best brands we like, its steeped and well oriented then she told me that the unvarying benefits are able to be obtained from teas marketed as a beverages, and these teas are oftentimes higher-quality and lower in cost. Lawful tea companies are those that think on the level of their quantity, and give teas at a sporting price.

The other great ways are the best tea blogs, forums, and community websites helpful in trial of new brands and now your are able to chooses the brand of your choice that I like black tea and yours choice of brand also available in same online tea buying sites.

Now you know that not only you can make tea at home and enjoy but you also buy the best tea brands online that you can feel more relaxed and enjoy the brand of your choice and your friend’s are of their choice.

Green tea has taken hold of health-minded individuals around the world because of its proven benefits inside the human body. You can now walk into any store and pick up bottled green teas or go to the grocery store and purchase a wide variety of dried green teas to brew at home. Among the most delicious and satisfying green teas available today is Japanese tea known as Sencha tea.

This tea is extremely popular in Japan and has a noticeable rolled or curled shape which comes from the way it is processed and dried. The tea leaves are steamed before being rolled up, shaped correctly, and then dried out. This creates the curled appearance that many people associate with this particular variety of tea. This process is quite different from green teas produced elsewhere and has a lot to do with the delicious flavor that comes from Sencha tea.

When shopping for Sencha tea you will see terms like “first flush” and “second flush” quite often. This actually becomes an advertising point for many Sencha tea manufacturers because it directly affects the coloring and flavor of the tea. This term comes from the fact that the tea plants used to make Sencha tea can be harvested at different times of the year. In Japan, it is believed that the most delicious teas come from the first flush of the year, so those teas will become marked as “first flush” teas.

Around the world you can find Sencha tea products being marketed with the first and second flush as major selling points. These early harvested tea leaves should produce a more golden green color and the delicious flavor for which this type of tea has become known.

Besides intense flavor that is tantalizing on the taste buds and remarkably delicious with chocolate, what does Sencha tea have to offer? The biggest benefit is its rich concentration of antioxidants. Green teas in general are noted for having exceptionally high antioxidant levels. This is beneficial to the body because it helps fight off inflammation, infection, and disease.

Many people prize antioxidants because they can help reduce or prevent common signs of aging as well. This includes lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. No wonder you see so many skin care products advertising the inclusion of antioxidants today! Sencha tea is not a beauty aid, but it is packed with antioxidants that do amazing things for the body when consumed on a routine basis.

Green teas like Sencha also have high concentrations of polyphenols, which are also proving to be very beneficial inside the body. They work along with antioxidants to rid the body of free radicals that cause disease and to fight off deadly diseases including cancer.

The great thing about Sencha tea is that it’s completely natural and safe. You can drink Sencha tea in your home as often as you like without worrying about dangerous side effects. This tea is delicious and can easily be found online from a variety of different manufacturers.

When comparing different Sencha tea products online consider the reputation of the manufacturer, when the tea leaves were harvested, and where the tea originally came from. Remember this is the most popular tea consumed in Japan and those produced from the first and second flushes of the year are viewed as the most valuable.

Sencha tea is not the cheapest tea to purchase, but it is packed with health benefits and tons of rich flavor. Enjoy!

In today’s world, tea drinkers seek far more than the average tea could offer and the Lapsang Souchong tea can deliver exactly that.

The Lapsang Souchong tea is black tea by nature. It can be obtained in the form of black tea leaves, black tea powder or black tea bags. However it is presented, Lapsang Souchong tea is always one of the best finds when it comes to looking for the world’s most extraordinary beverage.

The Lapsang Souchong tea is a black tea that originated from the Wuyi region of the Chinese province of Fujian. It is called the smoked tea because its leaves are generally smoke-dried over pinewood fires giving it a smoky flavor. There is quite an adventure story behind the origin of the Lapsang Souchong tea. It is believed that it was created during the Qing era. The annual drying of the tea on the hills of Wuyi was always interrupted by the crossing of soldiers. For this reason, producers of the tea demanded the workers to smoke-dry them instead using local pine woods. This gives the tea a strong smoky flavor that complements the natural taste of the black tea.

The best part about this unique blend of tea is the whole tea experience doesn’t only end once you empty your cup. The Lapsang Souchong tea is versatile and can be used in many ways besides drinking. It can be used as a marinade for roasted meat, a flavor enhancer for ice cream as well as with salty and spicy dishes.

If you are curious about the process of making Lapsang Souchong tea, here’s how:

1. Harvesting begins in the second week of May where mature leaves are picked to produce Lapsang.
2. To begin the withering process, the leaves are spread over smoldering pine, oak or cypress tea embers.
3. Next, they are pan fried, rolled and placed in wooden barrels to trigger oxidation that will give its sweet aroma and color.
4. Lastly, they are hung over an oak, pine or cypress smoke to dry the leaves. This last process gives the tea its characteristic flavor.

Like all teas, the Lapsang Souchong tea boasts of its own list of healthy benefits such as:

• It promotes healthy weight loss. The antioxidant property of tea combined with caffeine makes this possible as it will help speed up your metabolism. It will also aid in the quick burning of fats and building muscles and because it has caffeine, you will go about your day fully energized.
• It helps fight certain types of cancer. The combination of catechins, polyphenols and vitamins aids in preventing free radicals from destroying your DNA and lessens the growth of cancer cells.
• It protects your heart, lower your blood pressure and maintain sugar levels.
• It can be a substitute for caffeine. Instead of drinking strong coffee with higher caffeine content to keep you awake, make the Lapsang Souchong tea your substitute. It has lesser caffeine but enough to keep your mind alert. One great thing about caffeine in tea is that it is constantly released in your system throughout the day so you will feel energetic.

The tasty Lapsang Souchong tea may just be the best black tea you will ever find. The combination of taste, aroma, health benefits and other uses of this tea will give you more than you bargained for

Kingston is the crowned city of Jamaica. A city with a very dense population, Kingston teems with life night and day. But 10 miles north east of Kingston lays a completely different milieu: Mavis Bank. No traffic jams here. No glittering nightclubs. And no street reggae parties.

Mavis Bank is a rural community that has virtually remained unchanged ever since its establishment. Nevertheless, Mavis Bank is renowned worldwide because of the great coffee that comes out from it. This rustic town is home to the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory, the granddaddy of one of the world’s most sought after Blue Mountain Coffee, Jablum.

The whole thing started out in 1923 when an Englishman named Victor Munn decided to build a coffee processing factory on five acres of land in town. He dubbed the factory Mavis Bank, which is taken after the famous country house in Loanhead, Scotland. Mr. Munn probably selected the location of his factory for several reasons. First, the area is situated in the slopes of the famed Blue Mountains where the temperature is not as hot as the nearby coastal city of Kingston. Ample sunlight baths the area, but coffee gets much respite from the heat because generous cloud cover roll over the area for much of the year. Then it is blessed with a soil that is rich in nutrients and minerals, a substrate that is very much beloved by delicate coffee trees.

There are other coffee growing areas that have the same climate as this area, but somehow there is a mysterious driving force that makes Blue Mountain coffee different. Compared to other areas, coffee berries in Mavis Bank take a much longer period to mature. How this happens is not known to anyone. Perhaps this is one of those phenomenons that science cannot explain. But the end result is certainly wonderful. For the extra maturity time allows the cherries to attain richer aroma and much fuller flavor.

The wonderful attributes of more mature berries, though, would come to waste if the coffee processor has no adequate know-how. That is where the generations-old expertise of the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory comes into the play. There, they transformed coffee processing into a fine art. Every step of the production is carefully monitored to ensure that only quality coffee would come out of the factory.

Haven’t tried it yet? Well, you are missing a lot if you have not sipped a cup of Jablum coffee yet. Don’t deprive yourself of this wonderful coffee. True coffee lovers would not hesitate to widen their coffee experience spectrum. Order online now and enrich your coffee palate and discover a whole new world of coffee with Jablum.
