5 Hours of Extra Energy

So you started eating right? Or maybe you decided to go for that yoga class. Or maybe you just decided to grab an energy drink. Whatever the case may be – you probably have some extra energy and in cases you have no clue what to do with it except staying awake. Though this might have been your reason for grabbing that drink in the first place, you now have valuable time and energy to spend – so make it worthwhile. Here are some ideas on what to do with your extra 5 hours of energy.

If you haven’t started yet, you should use one of your 5 hours to start exercising. Whether you attend a class at your local gym, go for a run or a bike ride, rock climbing or just a brisk walk around your neighborhood. Not only do you get rid of that excess exercise but you get some fresh air and a body-boost as well! Another great way to get close with nature and spend some extra energy is gardening. Why not give your garden a makeover with a couple of new trees, flowers or even some herbs and vegetables? When you garden you help better your environment, so go on and get those hands dirty! Still have a couple of those 5 hours left? Get rid of the left over energy by going dancing. Get your friends together and dress yourself up to look great.

Pick a few clubs and go dance your troubles (and your extra energy) away. An alternative is to attend dance class. Whether you’re interested in waltzing or getting into the rumba it’s a great way to get fit and to have fun. This is also a group activity which you can enjoy with your loved one. Not interested in shaking your booty? Then you can always do all those chores around the house you never get the time or have the energy for. Clean out those closets, spring clean your oven, and get your books and CD’s organized and clear out anything you don’t use anymore. These you can donate to charities – making your hours spent cleaning worthwhile. Don’t you think?

After you spent all that extra energy and 5 hours have come and gone you should try and relax. Prepare a relaxing picnic for you and your loved one, settle down with a book, listen to all your favorite CD’s (now organized and in the right cases!), play with your pets or just fall asleep. Whatever you decide to do when you have extra energy and some time to spare, try and make it worthwhile. Invite your friends to join you, do something good for the environment or those in need. Do something good for your body! You’ll feel good when you do well. Why not make a habit out of doing something great every day with your spare time? Being more active will naturally provide your body with more energy so that you can make the most of that 5 hours of energy.
