Camp Site
Nowadays, weather is unpredictable. Therefore, we need to choose the best camp site as much as possible. If it is a rainy weather, choose a high area so that you will have no problem setting up your tent. This will ensure that your sleeping will not be bothered when rain comes. Do not choose for a campground near trees because this can be dangerous when strong wind strikes. These trees might have dead branches that can break during strong wind.
Consider a camp site where you and your family will have comfort especially if you bring your kids along. Camp sites with cabins for rent are also good in cases your kids find it difficult sleeping in the tent.
Get Rid of Bugs
Bugs and insects love to bother campers. Surely, kids would not love such idea. That is why you need to bring something in order to get rid of bugs and insects. Include in your first aid kit insect repellents or insect sprays. When you are in the outdoor, do not wear any perfume or use products that are scented because it attract insects. Further, do not wear clothes of dark hue because it magnetizes insects as well. Therefore, bring light coloured clothes and unscented products.
Sleeping with Comfort
The first thing that you should consider in order to have sleeping comfort is choosing the right campground where you will set up your tent. Ensure that the access to your tent is against the direction of the wind. It will really make your sleeping very comfortable since it will provide warm feeling on a cold weather. After that, you need to clean the ground where you set up the tent. Ensure that it is free from rocks and or roots. You can lay down a tarp below the tent to nip in the bud moisture. Before setting the tent, lay down on the tarp first to ensure that the ground level in all angle is almost the same. Next, clean your tent and the surroundings from time to time. This is very important so as not to attract ants and other insects that love trash.
Aside from that, you can also set up a sleeping pad inside your tent for comfy sleeping. You may also bring with you inflatable pillows because it is more convenient to bring.
Fun filled Activities
In camping with kids, it is always good to have fun-filled activities where all of you can enjoy. You can have star gazing at night or have a fun talk around a campfire. You can even bring a portable radio. But, make sure that the volume does not disturb the other campers. Do not forget to bring your cameras with extra battery and memory card to capture the perfect moments with your family. Ensure that all activities are planned ahead of time. Well, of course, a long tiring day shall be rewarded with thirst quenchers and food. Therefore, do not leave your home without bringing your 3 way camping fridge filled with food and drinks.
