Stress Management Exercises

One of the effective ideas on stress management is the different exercise that you can do. You need to learn how to relieve those muscle tensions without having to take up a lot of space and have the people around you, especially in your work place staring.

You can start with little exercises that you can do while you are at your desk.

When you are not allowed to move away from your desk from time to time, your body builds up tension in your muscles. You can put both of your hands behind your head, with your fingers interlaced. Start bringing your elbows back as far as you can, hold it for a few seconds and release.

Then lift both of your legs straight in front of you, and at the same time curl your toes towards you. Hold it for a few seconds and then let your feet fall to the floor. Remember to repeat these twice or thrice. These effective exercises helps you release the stress building up on your shoulders, back and thighs by just sitting for a long time.

When facing the computer for a long period of time, don’t forget to give your eyes and mind a short break every now and then. Regularly look away form your computer screen or the paperwork and look at something far away from you.

Looking at a distant object helps stretches your eyes. You can add some photographs on your desk or small toys to add more visual relief to your eyes and mind.

You see relaxing and exercising doesn’t need to occupy a big space but by finding naturally existing outlets that are readily available that is easy to integrate into your lifestyle and work style.

You can also exercise by using the stairs at home, go up and down a few times. You can do sit-ups or stretching while watching TV. Or try parking your car away from the building so it gives you a few meters to walk early in the morning.

Take a 15-minute stroll around the building during lunch break. It’s all about finding the hidden exercise tools you can use when at home or at your workplace. Making it into a daily routine or a habit helps it work more naturally.

You just have to find what works best for you and what is more convenient.

Alternatives such as playing your favorite sport, like basketball, tennis, and swimming are also a good way to get relief you of stress. Doing things you like is more helpful since not only are you keeping your body fit and stress resistant, you are actually having fun.

And after all this exercises and stretching don’t ever forget to eat a full three meals a day. One way that the body can keep with our fast phase lifestyle is to be fed the proper food and amount that it needs.

Having enough sleep also is a major plus in creating a stress resistant lifestyle and a good and effective back up for your exercise. Eat, sleep and exercises are the effective ideas and ways for a stress management program that you should integrate into your everyday system.
