Sumptuous Meal With A BBQ Ribs Recipe

To get prepared, go to your favorite grocery store and buy the following: 4 pounds of thick and meaty pork belly ribs; red wine and ketchup; BBQ sauce choosing the smoked variety; Worcestershire sauce; Honey; Oregano flakes; Rosemary fresh leaves; salt and pepper; and corn starch or flour. Take note that aside from the ribs, it did not specify quantity for the other ingredients this is because you will be the one to adjust them depending on how you want it to come out. Use your imagination and your senses to make up the best mixture of the other ingredients just take note that the meat quantity can feed up to four people.

For your preparation, it should be done the night before your cookout. You can start by marinating the ribs. Place them in a non-metal container or pack them well inside a plastic bag then sprinkle with a generous amount of rosemary leaves, oregano flakes, and pepper. No salt will be used at this time yet, and then coat the ribs with honey, ketchup, BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.

Repeat the same procedure after turning the ribs to make sure that all sides would be covered. After which, add red wine by pouring it into the corners of he container to avoid washing out the coating of the ribs. The wine should cover most of the ribs and allow them to marinate overnight in the refrigerator turning them from time to time.

In the morning, prepare your charcoal, taking note that you need abundant amount of it since pork would require more time to cook than beef. Also take note that if it is possible, the pork ribs should be cooked at the upper rack of the grill.

Start cooking them and after the meat is seared on one side, turn it on the other side and apply some salt to it and to both of the sides of the meat. To cook the ribs just enough and without burning you need to turn them frequently. You can check how well they are already done by slicing the thickest part of the rib and check its color. Around 5 minutes before you are done, pour some honey unto them and allow it to melt. You be the judge whether you want the ribs to be well done, medium rare or rare.
