Professional Digital Photo Printing

Remember when people took pictures with their 35mm cameras? You would purchase a roll of film, loaded it into your camera and fire away. When the film was used up(yup, there was a time when you were limited to the number of photos you could take), you removed the roll and took it to a photo lab to have it developed. It would take anywhere from an hour up to a few days for the pictures to be printed. Only then would you see whether or not you screwed up taking the pictures.

Obviously, those days are over. Everyone these days has a digital camera. Heck, most people have one on their cell phone for crying out loud! To is so easy to take a photo in 2010.

And today, we don’t have to wait for our film to be developed to find out if we screwed up the photo or not. We can see it immediately after it has been taken. If we don’t like it, we can delete it and try again. Take as many pictures as you want and delete the ones that didn’t turn out the way you want. The trip to the photo lab is over, unless you want your pictures printed out.

The cool thing about the technology today is that most people can print their photos on your own printer at home. Just remember that if you do this, the quality will not be the best. Most pictures you print on a good photo printer at home will be ok, but they will not be the best possible quality. Only a professional photo printer provides the absolute top quality of pictures.

Professional photo printing is different than printing at home. These printers are able to handle a much greater capacity of printing than the printer that comes with your computer. They have the highest possible DPI you can get, which means it will create the clearest picture when it comes to color and detail. They also print on all different types of paper in variety of sizes.

Because they are so good, these things are not cheap. We are talking in the $5000 to $15,000 range. Yikes! The really good ones usually can not be purchased in stores you would normally shop at for a printer. Typically, you will have to order one from professional photography store or online.

Never fear, If you don’t have that kind of money to drop on a professional digital printing machine, take your stuff to Kinko’s, or Office Max, or any place like that. They should be able to take care of your needs for you.
